Seattle Sangam Hosts a Spectacular 30th USA Sangam Annual Convention
Seattle Sangam had the distinct honor of hosting the 30th USA Sangam Annual Convention over Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25, 2025. Held in partnership with the City of Renton, this event brought together families, friends, and well-wishers from across the nation to celebrate our rich heritage and strengthen our shared identity.
This convention was a heartfelt tribute to the vision and perseverance of our founders, past presidents, and volunteers who have nurtured our growth. Their legacy was felt throughout the weekend's success.
Pre-Convention and Day 1 Highlights: A Grand Beginning
The convention opened with a spirited golf tournament at Riverbend Golf Complex in Kent, WA-providing a relaxed setting for early networking and fun.
Day 2 Highlights: AGM, Parade & Cultural Night
The AGM took place at Renton High School with leaders from various chapters. Later, a grand parade featured teams marching in unison.
Cultural Night: A Tribute to Talent and Tradition
Cultural Night
Hosted by TIMS, the cultural night included Kuchipudi dances, Tamil Kirtans, a showcase on South Indian attire, group songs, and a vibrant Terekutthu performance.
Day 3: Sports, Finals & Glory
Sunday's sports events included soccer, volleyball, and netball. Seattle Sangam emerged as the overall convention champion.
Presentation & Awards Night: Celebrating Excellence
Held at St. Bernadette Parish, the Awards Night celebrated winners and participants in a vibrant gathering filled with joy and tradition.
